Equipment Needed // PLEASE READ//
A reliable shotgun (12-gauge recommended, 20-gauge versions permissible)
This course focus will be on rapid sighted fire against multiple targets. We find that a traditional full butt stock works best in that role and is what we recommend. Rifle type stocks with pistol grips are OK. Pistol gripped shotguns are a breaching tool, and do not constitute a good first choice as a serious defensive tool. Due to safety considerations during handling, pistol gripped only shotguns will not be allowed in this course
Side Saddle (not required but highly recommended). We recommend a VangComp Velcro attached.
350 shot shells (light target loads recommended), 50 buckshot (multiple types recommended).
Ability to keep at least one box (25 shells) on your person. If you think you need kit for this course, please check out F3 Tactical
Not required – but recommended good tactical sling. Without a sling you will be required to ground your shotgun regularly
Eye protection, hearing protection (electronic recommended) and baseball cap
Knee pads (optional, but recommended)
Water for hydration
IF you have questions or concerns about your equipment, please email us back as soon as possible.
