NRA BASIC RANGE SAFETY OFFICER

To become a NRA Range Safety Officer, you must pass the RSO course and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.  Participants are required to be at least 21 years of age.

This is a nationally recognized certification which lends professional credence to staff involved in firearms training programs and often aids in insurance and liability considerations.

Successful course completion is a prerequisite for those who desire to become certified as Chief Range Safety Officers (offered Here).  

NRA CHIEF RANGE SAFETY OFFICER

2 DAYS

To become a Chief NRA Range Safety Officer, you must pass the CRSO course and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to successfully develop NRA Range Safety Officers.

This is a nationally recognized certification which provides Chief RSOs the ability to train and supervise NRA RSOs. CRSOs have strong credibility in developing range standard operating procedures.  Participants are required to be at least 21 years of age. 

NRA BASICS OF PERSONAL PROTECTION OUTSIDE THE HOME  

2 DAYS 

Students will learn the skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. The course offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Students spend several hours on the range and shoot level one drills moving up to the next level and learning advanced shooting skills. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home handbook, and course completion certificate.  This course is required to attend the NRA PPOTH instructor course and obtain instructor status.
