Introduction to Precision Carbine (8 HRS)
Description
This 8-hr class will lay the foundation for shooters who are looking to better refine their skills with a scoped carbine. The class will begin with an explanation of the roles and history of the scoped carbine as well as the modern development of magnified optics on semi-automatic carbines. This class will require a higher standard of accuracy and will test your abilities as well as reveal limitations in your ammo or equipment.
Note: To attend this class, at a minimum, students must know and should be able to follow at all times the 4 Cardinal Rules of Firearms safety. Students should be familiar with the manipulation of an AR (loading, unloading, locking the bolt to the rear and safety manipulation)

Your carbine must be zeroed prior to this class.
If you need assistance zeroing your carbine for this class, please contact us. We can also make arrangements to help you zero your carbine prior to the start of the class.

Equipment Needed
Semi-automatic AR pattern rifle chambered in .223/5.56 (or similar)
Minimum of 300 rounds of Match ammo, bring more if you want to shoot more. No steel core, no armor piercing, no tracer.
Magnified optic with milliradian or MOA based reticle
Rear shooting bag and a bipod
Laser range finder
Ballistic Solver software (Free Geoballistics or Applied Ballistics for example)
Binoculars or Spotting Scope
Water, sunscreen and weather appropriate clothing
Eye protection, Hearing protection (electronic recommended), Brimmed hat or Baseball cap
Notebook and pen/pencil
