John served 8 years with 1st Ranger Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, with 9 combat rotations. He served over 4 years as a Global Response Staff member and over 5 years with the Department of Defense. John has been shooting competitively since 2019 and is an A class USPSA shooter. He is the recipient of two Modern Samurai Project Black Belt Patches No. # 23 & 24 and is the first person to have achieved the patch two days in a row with two different pistols.
