INSTRUCTOR
Zac has over 16 years of combined service in law enforcement, SWAT and with the CIA’s Global Response Staff (GRS). During his 12-year tenure as a police officer, he spent 10 years on a large metropolitan SWAT team, where he served as an Assistant Team Leader and lead firearms and tactics instructor. He developed and instructed comprehensive training in firearms, CQB, hostage rescue, active shooter response, and high-risk apprehensions. In addition to his SWAT role, Zac served as an undercover Special Investigations officer, where he planned and coordinated statewide manhunts for the apprehension of high-risk fugitives and drug trafficking organizations.
After retiring from law enforcement in 2021, Zac was recruited by the CIA’s Global Response Staff. As a GRS Special Agent, he deployed multiple times both domestically and internationally, providing protective security operations for CIA personal in high threat locations around the world.
Beyond his operational experience, Zac is a dedicated firearms instructor with over ten years of state and federal-level teaching experience, specializing in active shooter response, force-on-force training and various levels of firearms instruction. He’s a lifelong student and has completed training with Direct Action Recourse Center (LECTC 1 & 2), JJ Racaza, Bob Vogel, Bill Blowers (Tap-Rack Tactical), Chuck Pressburg (Presscheck Consulting), Steve Fisher (Sentinel Concepts), Tim Herron and Ernest Langdon, among many others. Zac also holds a Specialists certification from the Force Science Institute.
As an active competitive shooter in USPSA, 2-Gun, and The Tactical Games, Zac continues to refine his skills, recently earning a podium finish at the 2024 Tactical Games National Championship.
